Tecno Mobile Theme Design
Imagine trying to capture the essence of African culture in a phone's design. That's the challenge Tecno Mobile gave me. They're a big player in Africa, and they wanted to go beyond just marketing and really infuse their products with local flair. They knew signing celebrities was great, but they wanted the phone itself to speak to the people. As a Nigerian and a designer at Tecno Mobile, I was thrilled to be tasked with designing wallpapers and icons that truly resonated. I poured my heart into it, and here's a peek at two of the themes I created.

Africa Mother and Child theme design
This theme is more than just a design; it's a tribute to African womanhood. I wanted to honor the incredible strength and sacrifice of mothers, the unsung heroes of our society. The illustration captures a familiar sight – a woman with her headscarf, holding her child, bathed in the warm light of a setting sun. I used earth tones to reflect our beautiful landscapes, and vibrant colors for the icons to represent the vibrant spirit of African women. They are strong, beautiful, and full of life. African Print theme design
The rhythmic pulse of zigzag patterns runs deep in African artistry. You see it in the handwoven baskets, the richly textured carpets, the finely crafted jewelry, and the beautifully adorned clothing. It's a testament to the skill and creativity of African artisans, a shared visual heritage woven into the fabric of daily life.
